Ritual Theater Group is a research group in the Acting Art which studies and practices a large range off scenic languages like mimicking and the physical theater in a vast way. The group has affirmed its identity inside the Goiânia theatrical scene as one of the rarest researching groups in the art of acting in its State. Surviving on your member’s resistance and projects, festivals and shows, which has been realizing. Among other activities, it outstands The Creative Actors Interchange Project, known as Corpo Ritual International Acting Festival. It’s an event promoted by the group since 2005, which already brought to Goiânia artists who have never performed before in the city, like Denise Stoklos (SP), Luis Louis (SP), Lume Teatro (SP), Barracão Teatro (SP), Eduardo Okamoto (SP), Centro Teatral E Etc E Tal (RJ), Teatro de Anônimos (RJ), Aburussu (PR), Cia do Quintal (SP), Mundo Rodá (SP), Kleber Lourenço (PE), and the foreigns Centro di Produzione Teatrale Via Rosse from Italy, The butoh Japanese Master Tadashi Endo, the Spanish Clown Pepe Nunes, Chacovachi from Argentina and Eugenio Barba, Julia Varley and Iben Nagel Rasmussen from the Great group Odin Teatret from Dinamarca among other artist-researchers who are worldwide references from the research field about the Acting art.
Ritual Theater Group has a strong relationship since its origem in 1996 with the Education and artistic formation system, being located nowadays at the Center of Studies and Research Ciranda da Arte, a research group in the Art and Education from the Secretaria Estadual de Educação, which the group keeps partnership with since 2007.
All performances are products coming from long terms research projects, journeys in which actors go on an adventure with both body and soul very involved, that together could become collective creations or performances with guest directors, always emphasizing the creator actor. The artistic exchange is a strong point of the group, which comes building bridges with several artists from the theater in Brazil and the world. Like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Piauí, Pernambuco, Curitiba, Salvador, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal are in the script of places which the way the Theater Ceremonial Group has passed and signed links with local artists.
