Corderama

A fun show of popular culture that unfolds like a clothesline full of strings and pictures hanging typical Northeastern fairs. Resulting from research on the culture of the Northeast of Brazil, with special focus on string literature and the popular dance drama Sea Horse, traditional Zona da Mata. Candido Portinari from screens to the cords of Patativa Assaré, the show seeks an essence fundamentally Brazilian part of the appreciation of local culture to address universal themes as life, learning, death and passions, all so very simple and humorous. The movements of the actors emerge with elements of Sea Horse both in terms of choreography of dance troupes called his footsteps and in his characters. On show are also used techniques of theater masks, manipulating puppets, mime and commedia del arte, and theatrical references to excerpts from The Pen and the Law, Ariano Suassuna text and even a musical research in northeastern sound, both musically and in speech.
